[full name]: unknown; was given the name "Diva" by Saya when still imprisoned in the tower.
[age]: 176; appears to be around the age of 16
[physical appearance]:
Diva is the twin sister of main protagonist Saya, so most of her facial features are similar to that of Saya’s. The main differences between the two girls is eye color and hair length. Diva’s eye color is a blue in contrast to her sister’s red eyes, and when she’s hungry/in a predatory mood, her blue eyes begin to glow to indicate her mood change. Her hair length is also a difference; throughout a majority of the series, Diva’s black hair is longer than Saya’s.

Her outfits usually consist of dresses her chevaliers buy or make for her. Her most common outfit consists of a simple white dress that goes down to her ankles.

[personality]:
Diva’s personality comes from her upbringing after her release from the tower she was imprisoned in. She has a rather ruthless nature which is usually masked by a child-like persona. She is spoiled by her chevaliers, who see her as their Queen. Because of this, she orders them around, knowing fully well that they will fulfill her requests. When she is agitated, she becomes silent, and begins to rip things apart, an example being a teddy bear whose head she ripped off. Most of the time after her release and reunion with her chevaliers, she is seen silently staring off somewhere, keeping quiet while everyone else talks. This changes after she meets with Saya again.

Diva views everyone as toys, and there feels like she has a right to do whatever she pleases with them. Whether it be really playing or ruthless killing, she finds amusement in others, specifically when they become scared of her and flee. When she is fully intrigued with something, she will not let it go until she becomes ultimately bored with it, or if she manages to kill it off. A great example of this is her interest in Saya’s adoptive younger brother, Riku.

It isn’t seen until the end of the series, but Diva also harbors motherly instincts. When she her cocoons were removed from her stomach, she was always cooing them, stating how cute they were and how she couldn’t wait for them to hatch. At the end of the series, when the babies finally emerge from their cocoons, Diva reaches for them, and envisions herself happily with them before fully crystallizing, and dying. Nathan then states that all Diva ever really wanted was to start a family with her new babies, which reveals her softer, motherly side.

[abilities/skills]:
Diva is a chiropteran, which is considered a distant relative of the vampire species. Aside from her fangs to drink blood/feed from others, she has remarkable speed and agility, an attribute gained from feeding off of her chevaliers and humans constantly. She is also skilled with a sword.

Her blood also has two important effects. The first effect is towards Saya; Diva’s blood is toxic to her, and can cause her body to crystallize, thus killing her. The same goes for Diva and Saya’s blood as well; she will experience crystallization as well if she ever comes into contact with Saya’s blood. Their Chevaliers are also weak against the opposing Queen’s blood; Hagi, Saya’s chevalier, can be killed if ever coming in contact with Diva’s blood, and Diva’s chevaliers can be killed with Saya’s.
The other important effect her blood has is its ability to turn someone into Diva’s chevalier. If someone were to drink Diva’s blood, that would cause them to slowly, and painfully turn into a chiropteran known as a chevalier. (Chevaliers serve their “queen” who is, respectively, the one who fed them their blood in the first place.)

[history]:
Diva, along with her twin sister Saya, were founded by Joel and his assistant Amshel in 1833 as mere cocoons, still in their “mother’s” womb. Joel managed to cut them both out, and soon after, the cocoons hatched, revealing the two girls. Fascinated by them, Joel turned around and took Saya in to watch her more closely, and coldly threw Diva into a tower and locked her there. Due to being locked inside the tower, Diva never once went outside, nor did she meet new people or experience new things, unlike her twin, Saya. In comparison, Saya was living the good life while Diva barely lived. She survived on bare necessities, which were usually brought to her by Amshel, who pitied the girl for being thrown away so easily.

She ages as time passes, much like Saya, and passed most of the time with singing. Her singing manages to finally lure in Saya, who is curious as to who Diva is. The two girls converse for a bit (during which Saya gives Diva her name), and Saya becomes extremely fond of Diva’s singing. Twenty years later, Saya manages to sneak the key that keeps Diva in the tower from Joel and goes to unlock the door for Diva on the day of Joel’s birthday, wanting Diva to sing for him. She leaves right away, though, stating that she needs to do some things first but encourages Diva to go on ahead. Diva takes a different approach, however, when she leaves the tower, and in a sort of revenge against him, she sabotages his birthday party, killing everyone there, including Joel himself. Saya returns after turning Hagi into a chevalier, only to see what Diva has done, and is distraught at how everything has fallen apart. It’s during that time where Diva flees from Joel’s burning manor.

By the start of the series, Diva has 5 living chevaliers who head the Cinq Flèches Group. Her appearance is scarce in the beginning of the series, only being mentioned in conversation, or being seen in the background when her chevaliers meet together once more.

Diva makes her full appearance to Saya when Saya revisits the Tower and is confronted by Solomon. Riku had heard her singing and wanted to investigate. In his search, he finds Diva, who in return bites him and drinks his blood. Saya arrives after she drinks the boy’s blood, and in an attempt to get Riku back, David, a man who is assisting Saya in the fall of Diva, shoots the girl. The gun shot however doesn’t effect her, and she immediately recovers. A chase occurs between Saya and Diva, and in the end, Solomon and Hagi intervene, causing said chase to end. Solomon and Diva then leave, and Saya and Hagi return to where Riku is, only to learn he is slowly dying. In an attempt to save Riku, Saya feeds him her blood, which changes him into her chevalier.

After their encounter at the Tower, Diva wants to meet Riku once again, who is currently still recovering from being transformed. Karl, one of Diva’s other chevaliers, takes her to find the boy, and their search brings them to a ship Saya and company are on. The ship goes into lockdown at Diva’s arrival, however, she isn’t phased at all and continues to search for Riku. Along the way she kills nearly everyone in sight, and the Red Shield feels the only way to rid her is to blow the ship up with her on it. As soon as countdown to the explosion begins, Diva finds Riku, and after getting Kai out of the way when he attempts to protect Riku, Diva undresses herself and ends up raping the young boy she so long sought. Once Saya arrives, Diva has already finished, even having fed Riku her own blood, which ends up killing him, and was ready to give Kai some of her blood as well. She doesn’t, however, and released Kai. After a tearful goodbye from Riku, Saya, Hagi, and Kai run to the deck to escape, and not soon after, Diva and Karl follow after. Kai boards the helicopter while Saya stays behind, and decides to face off against Diva. As the Red Shield and Kai fly away, the ship begins to explode, with both Diva and Saya on it.

A year later, Diva has changed her physical appearance to resemble Riku and retains that appearance until her final battle with Saya. Diva becomes an opera singer in New York, sponsored by the Group. Cinq Flèches has spread the Delta 67 agent, which can turn people into chiropterans, across various populations of the world, including the United States. When heard live, Diva's voice greatly increases the effectiveness of the agent. As a result of her attack on Riku, Diva becomes pregnant. She does not give birth for over a year, and at one point, Amshel cuts the cocoons out of her body. Diva seems to treasure her babies and care for the cocoons. At the Metropolitan Opera House, Diva is set to perform a live broadcast which would cause a large portion of the world's population to turn into chiropterans. The Red Shield and Saya are able to stop the broadcast, and the sisters have their final battle while Diva's chevalier Nathan watches nearby with the babies. The fight ends as Diva and Saya pierce one another with their swords, which each had coated with their own blood. Saya is unharmed by the attack, however, due to Diva's blood having lost its power when she became pregnant. Diva begins to crystallize from the effects of Saya's blood, and as this happens, her babies emerge from their cocoons. Diva reaches for them, imagining herself with her daughters and smiling at the vision before dying.
