Since you mentioned depression I thought it could be useful to know that "feelings of doom" is a classic symptom of anxiety disorder/depression which often manifests without any outside stimulus. I'm not discounting anything else but that is one possible explaination for those feelings.
Yeah that's the most likely reason I've been experiencing this. I haven't really been feeling depressed these past few months though so I'm curious as to why it's flared up again.
Anxiety can present apart from depression. They are closely linked but not mutually inclusive. At your age these type of issues tend to become more pronounce and erratic. Again, this is only assuming that it's an anxiety problem. Emotional issues can manifest as their own entity and cause havoc and things that were already there can feed off of that energy. There are all kinds of possibilities. Perhaps you could try some sort of therapy for the anxiety or if you are already doing so bring it up specifically. Either way you should trust your instincts.
I've been to therapy in the past, but never brought this issue up. I think that might be a good idea though! I'll have to see if I can go back some time.
It maybe your depression, but just in case it's not, when you feel this thing again try telling what ever the presence is to get out, that you don't want it there. Be firm, yell if you have to. Tell it that this is your space , your home and to get out and stay out!
