It is very possible. There is research that claims that poltergeist are manifestations of negative energies from mostly teenaged females. Supposedly because their emotions are so strong that they become a "real" thing. I had this problem with my niece when she was younger. The poltergeist she created wanted me gone because she wanted me gone (my niece is autistic and didn't like that her mother ~ my sister ~ and I are like best friends and spend a lot of time together). Haven't commented here in awhile, but this one caught my attention. In my experience emotional states can both activate and intensify any spiritual energies that reside on a property or within a building. I have first hand experience of this happening something I've not shared with many people. Its my belief spirits and spiritual residue is present no matter where you are. The majority of that energy lies dormant until the right combination of variables activates it for whatever reason.
