My stepdad isn't quite as bad as yours. He did piss me off for a long time and it took him about 10 years to really get my respect. It doesn't condone the crap he gave me during my junior high years, when I already felt like shit about myself, ya know? Step-parents are just strange and take forever to get used to...but I do know where you're coming from.
