I need to remember to tell people I already have plans when they ask what I'm doing for any holiday in preparation for inviting me over. I'm not a "holiday" person, aside from Halloween and sometimes New Years, to me it's just another day off to enjoy usually with a lot of relaxed marathon-watching or whatever

Actually I was invited to go on the road for the weekend and hang out, and since I'm bad at just standing around I pulled some roadie time to keep from sandbagging.
What? What does that make her family? Are her friends not monkeys, dogs and bears? According to Sanrio she is not a cat because she isn't "depicted on all fours" and "walks and sits like a two-legged creature." Because of this Hello Kitty is a "little girl."
