IC Information:
Name: Eliza Faust
Fandom: Shaman King (Manga)
Timeline: From the point when Anna and Faust bring Eliza’s soul back from heaven
Age: 22
Appearance:

Eliza looks as if she could be a very frail woman. Her limbs are long and her body is thin. In life, she probably was a frail woman seeing as how her body had been ravaged from an unknown illness since she had been very small and the illness had only been cured in her very early twenties.
Eliza has long, yellow-blonde hair that runs down to her butt. She has no bangs as her hair is always pushed back in a headband. In the series she wears mostly the same thing, her nursr outfit. However I believe that’s because dead people don’t change. (She does change outfits in her more powerful oversoul forms however.)
Abilities:

Eliza worked as Faust's nurse. While he does say that she was a clumsy nurse, she was still a nurse so she has experience with traumatic injury. I believe that she would have a general knowledge of the body and how to mend wounds.

She was also Faust's oversoul while she was dead. An oversoul is a spiritual medium which a shaman uses in order to battle with other shaman. Faust’s medium was her skeleton, so his shaman magic was a form of necromancy.

Seeing as she is now alive I don’t see how any of the abilities that she once had as his oversoul will be present at all.

One thing that may be pertinent is that she possessed a weapon. It's a cross guillotine ax sort of thing known as Das Kreuz Des Blutes Skalpel ( The bloody cross scalpel).

Personality:

* Notice * I'm taking some liberties with her history since there's very little known about it. Everything that we do know will, of course be incorporated. I‘ve split this into two parts. Factual and an elaborated personality.

While Eliza speaks very little, her emotions show very strongly throughout her actions and facial expressions. When we first meet her, she is little more then a doll created to fight for her master. The vacant expression is very obvious. However, after Johann's loss to Asakura Yoh and the absence and subsequent reappearance of her and her husband, her expressions change to a more expressive nature. Her facial expressions seem more natural, more then doll like. It is easy to see that there is a distinct change in the personality of the character.

It's quite clear that she has a deep love for her husband that transcends death. That she is possessive and protective of him. If it is for Johann, she will do anything for him and allow him to do anything to her. This goes so far as to have a simple picnic on her cleavage while she is Mafesto E (I wish I were joking about that.) or comment on her abilities as his nurse (Although she does use her facial expression to show her annoyance at his comment on her abilities).

Johann is the driving force in everything that she does. To her he is everything and as long as he is happy, healthy, and content, nothing else matters. Her world is also very small in comparison to the actual world. She doesn't completely get or even want to know others. If it exists within Johann's world, then his opinion is what matters most. Even above her own. An example of this is that she will often glare at his friends and team mates, but will not take action against them. She clearly dislikes them, yet she will take no action against them because they are people that Johann holds dear.

Her mood does not depend on Johann's. In fact her expression often seems to show the opposite of what her sweet husband is expressing (unless it is love for her, then she will always express love in return).

Elaborated personality and personal experience playing her:

Eliza always seems to be a sweet but unstable woman. She has an obsessive devotion to her husband and seems to take on a slight martyr complex for how he deteriorated after her death.

From things in cannon it's easy to tell that she's been watching over him and has seen things progress. Even though she wasn't 'physically present' for many of the events before Faust joined the team she has a strong disliking for everyone who treated Faust cruelly. That's something that's kept strongly in mind when playing her. Meeting new people once she's no longer dead is very easy for her. Her sweet disposition makes her very easy to get along with and very easy to form a schoolboy crush on (which happened quite often in the prior game). She also has a strong weakness for boys who are rather geeky. She finds them charming and sweet and in all ways attractive (Especially if they ARE attractive). After all, if you look at what Faust looked like as a child, he wasn't exactly a looker till he grew up.

She's easily as loyal as her husband to those she cares about and trusts and believes strongly in defending others. Especially her friends and those close to Faust. Even if she doesn't like his friends, she‘ll still protect them. She's more then willing to use her ax to help others or to attack someone if they harm her husband or someone she cares about. And she doesn't JUST have to use her ax.

She's clumsy, but in a charming way. She may not be able to bandage someone up perfectly or find the proper vein to draw blood from, but her sweet smile and cute attitude will make dealing with the pain she inflicts well worth it.

History:

Eliza met her husband Johann at a very young age. she was dying of an incurable illness when they met. Because of this fact Johann went into medicine. Through this they became close and eventually grew to become deeply in love with one another.

Happily, by the time that Eliza turned twenty years old Johann was able to find a cure for the illness that was killing Eliza. Johann had saved her life. It was a fantastic, happy miracle. Soon after she was cured the pair were married. They lived together happily while they built a clinic where Johann would administer medicine and Eliza would be his cute but slightly clumsy nurse.

Tragically however, the clinic was open for no more then one night. That evening a petty thief, a burglar with a gun, came in to rob the clinic. Eliza was the only one in the building and when he saw her he shot her in the head. she was found by her husband who did everything in his power to sustain her life. She died on the operating table.

For several years her bones were used by Johann. He fused the smallest bit of her soul with the bones of her former body and used them as his oversoul during the shaman fights. As time continued and Johann lost his battle with Asakura Yoh, he started training with Anna, Yoh's fiancé. Through this he became stronger in his necromancy. He was eventually able to 'bring Eliza back to life' by infusing quite a bit more of her soul with her bones. The action reanimated her, giving her the ability to speak and 'live'. The newly animated Eliza became a constant at her husband's side. She would often be found embracing the necromancers in many ways as well as pushing him from place to place. She speaks very little, but when she does her words are about Johann and are always loving toward him. If not a simple expression of love.

She is still used as his oversoul during the shaman fights, but her oversoul form changes during the fights. First to a gigantic demonic nurse with one hand that is a gigantic syringe and the other possessing scalpels for fingers. This form is known as Mafesto E. Later there are two other forms that Eliza can have her soul manifest as. Her demeanor also changes during the fights. She is quite a bit more non-verbally expressive, showing confusion and annoyance at some of the actions that occur.

Roleplay Sample - Log:

Eliza made her way down the hall, her eyes darting left and right. She didn’t know this place. She couldn’t find Johann anywhere. He was the only reason she was here, the only reason why she would allow herself to be taken from heaven in the first place. She needed to atone for what he had become. Yoh, that kind boy, had been steadily helping him. Softening his heart once again to the beautiful man she had married, but she needed to be by his side.

“Johann?” She called softly, moving toward a closed door. Perhaps he was inside. She tried to move through it, but instead her head made impact with a loud ‘thud’. She winced, rubbing her forehead in confusion. She couldn’t pass through? She was a spirit, a thing without true substance, how could she not be able to pass through a simple door? She looked down at her hands, flexing them slightly as she studied them. They looked solid, flesh even. The idea didn’t make sense. She wasn’t flesh. She was long since dead.

“I don’t understand.” She said quietly, still flexing her fingers. She reached for the door again and let her hand rest against it. If she was flesh, then had something gone wrong? Had her soul been taken to a place other then her darling husband’s side? No. It couldn’t be true. She couldn’t be here, be flesh, and not be by his side. It was too cruel of a joke for God to play on them. Too cruel.

She noticed the device in her pocket, a small thing with numbers on it. It looked a bit like a phone really. She pushed a few buttons before it made a sharp high pitched noise. Perhaps it would contact someone who could help her understand what had happened.

Roleplay Sample - Journal:

[The video turns on sharply and a pair of bright blue eyes are seen blinking at the screen. The woman looks confused, but not exactly frightened. When she speaks it‘s a heavily accented German voice, deep and sultry.]

Hello? I think there’s been a mistake. This isn’t where I am to be. I must return to my beloved’s side. My, his name is Johann. Johann Faust VIII. I need to find him. There must be a mistake. I was on my way to him.
Please, I must find him. It’s important!
