Okay, so thanks to this most recent event, Schuldig is once again a telepath. This means that yes, he can read your mind!

There are some characters who will find themselves naturally exempt:

• Any animal, robot, or other blatantly non-human character. For instance, Mickey Mouse would be exempt from Schuldig's telepathy because he's an animal; ( Read more... )

Yuki falls under the naturally exempt and/or special category. It's up to you which one. For reference, she's a humanoid construct created by a hive-mind data species and views the world as data to be manipulated.

Susan Sto Helit (deaths_heritor) is, on occasion, Death. When she's being an immortal anthropomorphic personality (rare), her mind will be inaccessible.

Yuki was actually one of the examples I considered listing for the special category things, since I'm vaguely aware of what she is. ^^ I wasn't actually sure what her Mayfield status, though, so I opted not to mention her. But yes, definitely consider her non-readable. Is she technically a robot? If so, Schu wouldn't have access at all because what she uses as a mind is not a mind in the human sense of the word. If she's got a mind that's biologically human but enhanced, she'd fall into the special category instead. (It's only important to know in that Schuldig would be able to tell why he can't access her mind.)

And fine for Susan, as well~ If she has Death moments when around Schuldig, just make sure to make note of it so I know when she's gone beyond his realm.

Hrmn. Yuki definitely has an organic body so I don't think she's technically a robot. At the same time, though, I don't think her mind can be said to be biologically human, because of the whole data perception thing.

Ah, well.. It'd probably be easiest to say that Yuki's mind is not a mind in the human sense. So the naturally exempt category.

Don't worry too much about Susan. This happens once in a blue moon.

Oh go for it, read all my guys! As for what you find, I suppose we can leave that up to role-playing right? Case-to-case basis?

This is for BLU Scout, Theo Crawford, Calleo Crowe and Cynric. :D

Yep! Schuldig largely only gets current thoughts, so what he gets will depend on what your guys are thinking at the moment.

Well you can now update this to not include Cynric obviously, and add Quinn!

WRONG ACCOUNT BUT

Shiki artwithknives goes on a special account basis. If his mind is read, he'll sense it. He won't know who or where they're at but what makes it special is he gets the urge to kill when he detects these supernatural things so...any thoughts he would have would be overridden with KILL KILL KILL KILL. In red text.

Pffffft. XD See, Schuldig is like a kid in that, once he finds that button, he'll just press it at random intervals for amusement, even if there's no concrete benefit to him.

Hey 'sup. This here girl, Satori, is a mind-reader herself, so if she figures out he's reading her mind she is going to troll him hard in response - if that's okay with you, of course! Her canon is iffy on blocking people out (i.e., the only one she can't read the mind of in her canon has pretty much shut down her conscious mind entirely), but if you're not okay with Satori trolling Schuldig I can handwave it.

Oh, man, if anyone in Mayfield deserves trolling, Schuldig is it. XD What form would this trolling take?

Also, in Schuldig's canon he makes remarks that can be interpreted as his not even being able to separate the passive thoughts from people around him from his own, which I take to mean he has no ability to keep anyone out of his head, psychic or not. Fellow psychics will have no trouble getting into his head...although he will know they're there and will try to drive them out by any means available to him, though he can't actually eject them from his head. But he tends to react very badly, and violently, to having the shoe on the other telepathic foot, so use due caution.

Satori is the kind of unpleasant person who digs through memories, finds bad ones, and uses their traumas against them. Either that or she just hurls insults in response to their thoughts.

She's pretty liberal with her ability, so if it does start turning nasty I'd be happy to work out any violence that may happen. She needs an ass-kicking anyway.

Oh, yes, that has the potential to turn very ugly very quickly. XD It's canon that Schuldig was raised/trained in a sort of concentration camp for child psychics - it's directly compared to Auschwitz. So he's got a lot of unpleasant and traumatic memories that Satori could use, and that he would react violently to having any other psychic even go near. If he can't kick her out of his head or dissuade her, he'd probably try to kill her.

Joshua won't be able to block Schuldig out while he's still human, but he does fall into the special category. He's basically a god, so I'm guessing Schuldig probably won't be able to dig deep into his head. I'm just going to go with canon here and say that if Schuldig does try reading his mind, he'll wind up with images and scattered memories of Shibuya, but no sentences or what Joshua's actually thinking at the point in time. And yeah, Josh'll probably know Schuldig's there, but he won't do too much to stop him.

Prussia is a country - I don't know if this falls under special category or not but I'm going to go ahead and okay mind reading for him. It's not like he won't just tell you what he's thinking, anyway.

One additional note - during this event, Joshua's had a good chunk of his memories taken away, so his head will be a lot easier to get into and he won't be able to tell Schuldig's in there as easily. That said, he's regained his ability to raise his vibe, so Schuldig will find himself thrown out rather forcibly if he oversteps his bounds. Normally, this wouldn't happen since Joshua does not want people finding out who he really is at all, but he won't be able to remember that or how to control his powers.

Noted! Schuldig will prod at his mind with due caution, and not really get current thoughts so much as an overall impression.
