[I'm sorry, Mayfield - did you think you had enough problems as things stood? Did you think the town had made you suffer every possible cruelty already?

Well, not yet! Because today you may go blind.

What this means is that Schuldig got a clothing box with the mail today, which contained his absolutely ridiculous canon outfit. This assault on ( Read more... )

[Managing to maintain her demeanor - perhaps to be difficult - she gives him a very shy and guilty look] I'm sorry. We don't buy from door-to-door salesmen. [And with that, she slams the door in his face]

[Schuldig grins, not terribly surprised by this reaction.] Oh, fine, if you'd rather I made my proposition to you through the door, in a nice loud voice so I know you can hear me...

[Farfarello opens the door for Schuldig, and can't help but breathe a deep sigh of relief when he sees him dressed not only not in the nurse's outfit but in his normal clothes no less. He smiles and moves aside for the man to come in. He doesn't mention the change in clothes, just like he doesn't mention the patch over his eye. He does, however, head straight to the kitchen to get his friend a cup of coffee.]

What brings you, Diabhal? I don't think I spoke your name three times...

[Schuldig would have strolled in as though he owned the place even if Farfarello hadn't invited him. But his usual self-assured attitude seems a bit forced today, a bit subdued - not much, because probably nothing short of death could put a serious dent in Schuldig's behavior, but any lessening is still fairly noticeable.

He follows Farfarello into the kitchen, sliding into a chair.] And I'll bet you haven't clicked your heels three times, but I still find you here at home. Life's full of mysteries, isn't it? [He takes the coffee without comment; it's quite evident that something is on his mind.]

Aye, it is.

[He doesn't say anything else at all, choosing instead to watch Schuldig carefully, wondering what on earth was on his mind. Schuldig wouldn't have visited casually, and he most certainly wouldn't have this bearing about him if something weren't up. But if Schuldig intends to say, Schuldig will say whether he's asked or not, so Farfarello doesn't bother, not wanting to pressure him into saying before he's ready.]

[When Schuldig eventually speaks, it's in a casually roundabout way.] I guess you've heard about the town's latest prank?
