This, uh...
this--th-this isn't the happiest topic. I, just, y'know, I--I-I don't want to ruin anyone's mood so--so...
So--so yeah, heads up.
...Death isn't permanent here? There--th-there's a system that brings us back if something happens to us. But...I-I mean, we have something like death. When--w-when a person leaves, when they're just--j-just

So while she hasn't lost hope yet, she's preparing herself for the possibility of a long stay.
As well as the fact that people don't stay dead, but they also disappear.
So after hearing Herz's post, she makes her way to Sergei's. When she gets there, she makes a line for the table, finding three small candles and one larger, taller one (two for the children she was looking for, and the other to represent the temple; the large one is for Jhirem himself); after grouping them together, she lights them.
She doesn't immediately move away, instead choosing to spend several moments with her eyes closed and hands laced together, thinking and praying.]

H--Hello. Uhm, I'm--I'm Herz. I'm one of the cooks that--th-that work here? Would you like something to eat?

Thank you, Herz, I'm Torin. [Her bracers are still on, so her tattoos aren't visible.] That would be nice, if you aren't too busy with the other visitors?

No, really, it--i-it's fine.
Do you...do--do you know what you'd like?

There is someone watching him.
After paying his respects, Leo has a look around and spots Herz, giving him a small wave.]

But whoever this person was, speaking over the comm... Lighting a candle in honor of someone lost. That was a fairly good idea. It struck home a lot harder than she'd originally meant, the more she thought about it. And Katara didn't really want to leave her room, but... If what her brother had said about the ..fighting, then it should be alright. Sergei's. Deck nine. She could get there.
And she did, unscathed, though a little twitched out, tucked up in a blanket despite already wearing a turtleneck and pajama pants. She wants to light a candle. But she doesn't want to just... up and grab another candle to light one, nor has she spied any matches that might be floating around. Oh the woes of a waterbender.]
If I were a firebender... On second thought, no.
[She takes a seat instead, chin propped on a hand, staring at the dozens of lit flames.]

It's when he's sneaking another peak at it from the kitchen that he notices the young lady. Her hesitation, then her eventual retreat to a table. He comes out a moment after she's made herself comfortable, stopping just a few paces away.]
Uh--w-welcome, miss. Can--can I get you anything?

Oh, um. Maybe.. A glass of water? A-Actually may I have a glass of orange soda instead?
[And if he turns to leave, a thought peeks her interest.]
And-- Do you happen to have a ... light?
[She motioned towards the candles, somehow feeling that asking for a piece of flint and stone would.. not work so well.]

The, uh, lighter's right here.
[He picks up a cheap lighter from the table. It's not until he's heading back towards her that he realizes she...might not know what one is. He stops between the candles at the girl.]
Do...well, uhm, if--if you want? I could light some for you? I don't know if, uh...you know how to work one of these...
[He says this with the best intentions while motioning to the hunk of plastic resting in his palm.]
