I love when it happens that someone just read an "old" book that I finally got around to as well! Don't think Francine could write a bad book - she always gives me something to think about it. But this one was particularly poignant in showing the long walk between when a prayer is heard and when it is answered.

Why was I thinking you had already read the entire Big Stone Gap series? There's been a movie in the works for some time. I feel it would make a better limited television series myself. Enjoyable series. Such a departure from your life in the Big City!

I think you recommended the Stone Gap series to me! I have read some others of hers and enjoyed them immensely (Very Valentina, Brava Valentina). Will look forward to finding more of these (I hope) at our library. Meanwhile - you're right - would make an excellent TV series!
