2nd Enhanced Truth [Voice]

If there is anyone able to access the Battledome Facility who happens to be capable of constructing mechanical limbs, your assistance would be appreciated. I'm not asking for much. A simple carrying capacity of two tons would likely suffice. Given the structure of this building in particular and the obvious lack of maintenance it requires, however ( Read more... )

science!!!, once i get legs nothing can stop me, #voice, chell is still fatter, this is how we pretend to be sane, testing will continue

[Hm. The mouthy Battledome robot's gotten better with tapping into the journal network.]

Now what exactly would you be planning to do with those limbs?

The data being provided over the network is far too sparse for any proper observation. I would like to expand my capacities.

Your capabilities are best kept contained.

Who'll test people in the dome if you're running around ignoring your primary function?

Who will test all the subjects who never come to the dome? A self selecting sample makes for very skewed results.

What kind of materials are we talking about here?

As long as it can hold up, I'm not going to be too picky. Iron, steel, titanium. I'd recommend avoiding things like potassium, but if you really want to try, I won't stop you from your commendable effort to work with elements more likely than not to explode in your face.

I see.

And where would be the best place for a "New Feather" to obtain such materials?

[Iron in particularly. Erik likes iron.]

I do not have access to such records. If I did, well. I wouldn't be making such a request, now would I?

It would depend on what use you have for them. And what materials can be found. The construction of limbs is rather easy otherwise.

I intend to expand my capabilities beyond the confinements of this single facility. While certainly a robust environment, in the end it's far too limiting to perform comprehensive testing.

...Are you looking to lift things within the Dome...? Or... Is this a request for a metal body capable of transporting you?

At the very least I would like a minimum amount of mobility. [ Enough to access the other panels in the battledome. ] If even that is too much, a simple remotely accessible and controllable camera would suffice. [ Or twenty. ]

My primary function is scientific testing for the benefit of all of humanity. Considering there is no functioning economy within any accessible distance, knowing that your efforts have at least not been a complete waste is probably more than you can expect under almost any circumstance.

Most humans don't. That's why monetary compensation is so widespread. Unfortunately it's rather impossible under these circumstances, so unless you're interested in information or data, I don't appear to have much to offer.

Oh ho? What are you? A computer, or some kind of robot?

Don't insult me. I'm a supercomputer. Certified and everything. In fact, I used to have the certificate which said so, but that seems to not have made its way here with me. So I suppose you'll just have to take my word on it.

Ba ha ha! I suppose I will. So you want some mechanical limbs, eh? That doesn't sound difficult.

I'd certainly think not, but all too often humans have a habit of... disappointing. Would you happen to have access to the materials you need? I'd think that question wouldn't need to be asked, but as I said. Humans.
