[It takes a while for the image to focus and there's Kara, looking as though she hasn't slept, clutching something tight in one hand. She mutters to herself before kicking her table in frustration, getting up to pace over to the window where she watches a white moth fluttering.]

It`s only happened to me once, but that was more than enough.

How does this place just pull you back in?

Thanks, I'll go check them out once I think I can leave this apartment without more bad frakking luck.

You have no idea. Damn mirror broke all on its own and knowing my luck I'll end up walking under ladders and spilling salt all over the place.

Some of us are still trying to sleep.
So what's wrong?

Oh sorry for interrupting your beauty rest. What's wrong is being back here when I was back even though my life back home is more frakked up than anything has any frakking right to be.

And you think making this much noise is going to change that, Miss Frak?

You know what? Frak you and whatever the frak you rode in on alright? I'm allowed to make as much noise as I like when I'm here again instead of being with the fleet.

[This language amuses him. You wouldn't be able to tell, of course, as he is trying his very best not to laugh. And it seems to be working as he stares staight-faced into the Dreamberry.]

It sounds like you're having a rough day.

I'm sorry I can't answer any of your questions, but is there any other way I can be of assistance?

[She looks up at the Dreamberry and has to do her best to roll her eyes. Rough is an understatement.]

You don't know the half of it.

[After a pause that involves putting her hand in her pocket to check that her old tags and wedding ring haven't disappeared, she nods.]

Know anyone that would be able to test blood. Not my blood but blood I found on something?

[Well someone knows exactly who to ask for things. Did he really look that much like a doctor, or was she just good at guessing?]

Hm... well it depends on the blood, whether you have anything to test it against, what you want it tested for and if I can get my hands on the right technology.

[The abandoned hospital actually seemed relatively well-kept last time he passed it, it could be a good place to look. Besides, any excuse to start up his experiments again is a good one.]

[So probably the first good surprise of the day; she hadn't expected to get an answer at all, maybe just told to go to a hospital or the police. If they had police here.]

I need to know if it came from a living person or not.

[If that blood on the tags is hers and it's from a dead person then she isn't exactly sure what she's going to do but she needs to find out something concrete.]
