Syfy has rescheduled the Haven episode that was pulled from its line-up last Friday in the immediate wake of the Newtown elementary school shooting, as well as the Season 3 finale that was to air this week.

A statement issued by the cabler reads: “Last Friday’s episode of Haven contained scenes of fictitious violence in a high school setting and in ( Read more... )

I can understand why they'd bump it back a month (even a week is too soon), but it still sucks having to wait. I wonder if this means they're pulling the Haven marathon they had planned for Thursday, too. I know "School Reunion" was supposed to air during it, though I suppose that they could just stop after "Last Goodbyes" and leave it at that.

Actually I went and looked the other day when we were told it would air in the marathon, the school episode wasn't listed. I checked twice.

That's interesting, because I think I checked IMDb's listings yesterday and it said that not only that the Haven marathon going to happen, but that "School Reunion" was set to air at 7 PM on Thursday. Ahh...conflicting information.

I think pulling 3x12 on Friday night was a very sensitive thing to do and I also think that rescheduling both it and 3x13 is very sensible given the nature of the show (I was a little concerned that they might just skip 3x12 all together and go straight to 3x13). I think SyFy have acted very responsibly about the whole thing.

I'm glad they are doing this and respecting the serialization of this show. I have to give it up to Syfy for their sensitivity. I know A LOT of this fandom is pissed off about it but its just a damn TV show! If anything this makes me NOT have to stay up on the night I have to work at 4am the next morning. I will never complain when a show is pushed back! Its more free time! As long as it eventually airs I'm ok!

And at least this pushes back this season into the new year because I'd be bored without it! It will make that gap no so bad between seasons!

I'm SO happy about this, because I'm going to be on a plane Friday night! There's no way I was going to be able to get anywhere in time to even see the repeat, so I was really starting to worry!

Now I'm going to go block out January 17 on my calendar so I can hole up, take my phone off the hook, and bask in Haven Goodness all night. :)
