Awwwwwww..... Don't call him wretched. Woodchucks are remarkably adorable. I have been amusedly referring to them as "fat fuzzy brown things" for years, because I used to see them lining the grassy area along 370, and at the time I wasn't sure exactly what kind of critter they were. They never fail to make me smile when I see them. I have one that lives in the grassy shoulder off of the 7th North St. exit, near the lawn of the rebuilt hotel. I about drove off the road a few days ago because I was laughing so hard at his little tubby bottom galumphing across the grass.

So have a little love for the 'chuck, and don't despair - he doesn't eat TOO much!! :D
