The moon was out tonight, sailing over a deeply cold, still landscape, bright with the new snow.  She was visible through a soft window trimmed with light clouds, showing her face yet not illuminating all below her.  Yes, I got to see her just before full and, now, just after, but ( Read more... )

Mrr? Everything ok? You sound uncertain (unlike you) and uneasy (also unlike you).

Let me know if I can help in any way.

Much love,

I am coming to think that the true test of character is in dealing with those things we cannot control and cannot prepare for.
I had to take my Bob over to Urgent Care for tests: he has gotten to the point of too many prescriptions and he had a low moment. He has been steadily climbing out of that hole since he stopped the one new pill.
We'll find some more out tomorrow but I'm suspecting that some more lifestyle and diet changes will be in order and it is tough to give up things you enjoy in the name of health.
We are here.

I agree with you, re: tests of character. I am sorry to hear Bob is having a tough time. Having been through a tough time or two myself, I am deeply sympathetic. It sounds like a fixable problem, at least.

If there is something we can do, let us know. Our thoughts are with you two.

Thank-you for the kind words.
In times like this, when the meds to 'fix' a problem cause other problems you get out your balance and debate:
is it worth the side effects to alleviate an issue?
In his case, the blood sugar problems caused by one medication are now being treated by a new pill and he had a reaction to this new stuff. It makes me want to suggest changing the medication that started this whole chain of events. No, he won't do diet modification, so, there we are. He won't give up all of his beloved treats (just some).
At some point we think 'quality of life.'
