How Narrow is Your Table?

As might have been predicted the exchange detailed in my previous entry probably ended badly.  I got tag-teamed by two fundamentalist reconstructionists who then got the guildmaster/site moderator involved.  It devolved, in one more round of posts, to people citing something out of context, people getting offended at 'implications' and people ( Read more... )

Hi
I just read this post and the previous one. I agree with a lot of your points. O, I've had all those discussions with recons and "true Wicca"ists.
Finally decided for me it just wasn't worth it. I turned in my pagan name tag. I am me. I believe as I believe. I miss the circle I once had of like minded women. But that was a formative experience and I have done my leadership bit. Like the moon all things wax and wane.
I hope you find experiences and people that enrich you.
Blessings

You know, your message made me think, made me feel, well, not so alone. It has been a long strange trip but I wouldn't trade in the lessons I've learned....and now I'm trying another round of discussion. I refriended you so I can keep up at least that much; so many things have slipped away while I wasn't looking.

Hi. I must never have scrolled down far enough to read all of the rest of your post. Yes, we all seem to have gone our seperate ways and that saddens me. It would be nice if we could all get together again, even if just for a night once in a while. I don't think any of us have drifted far enough apart to be able to work our magic.

When I left the grove, I left wanting to be part of a larger group (except with our handpicked group). Once I finally pulled away from PPD and the pagan community at large, I have never looked back or been saddened by my departure. I found that most people can't accept any other religous belief except for their own. Each person's spiritual path is their own - it is neither right or wrong.

Haven't heard from you in a while. You haven't been posting, but then I figured you were probably busy with your monsterous garden, work and whatever projects you were busy with. Has the husband completed the kitchen renovations? Thought I'd poke you to see what is going on in your life.
