My friend Jeff has instructed me to come up with an adventure in San Francisco for Sunday morning. This is proving surprisingly difficult. Any ideas?

I listened to a lecture on NPR about the 1906 earthquake tonight - one of the most interesting parts was where the guy compared the aftermath to the aftermath of Katrina. And he also made this convoluted and mostly-kidding argument that the earthquake helped the rise of the religious right eventually happen, due to the fact that a preacher in Los Angeles from this crazy sect whose followers rolled around on the floor and babbled had said a few days before that the lord was about to do something really meaningful, and then 10,000 people came to his next sermon after the earthquake, and then they became the Pentecostal church. Anyway, I had heard some other time that there's a spot somewhere in the city where a line of trees and a fence abruptly shift 9 feet to one side due to the earthquake. You could look up and find that spot, and then take a walk along the fault and look for other things that are supposed to line up but don't, and read the historical plaques and stuff that I assume would be somewhere there.
