Spoilers: None
Notes: Just a cute little story. It's the very first FMA thing I wrote. Hope you all enjoy.
Pairing: Hinting a Havoc/Winry of course
Jean Havoc was never the lucky one when it came to the ladies. In fact, bad luck was pretty much glooming over him whenever a girl walked by. If his dates weren't being stolen by a certain Colonel, something surely went wrong to ruin a relationship for him. And this time, that thing was a flat tire. He sat there on the ground, with his car jack attempting to fix it. He was late for his date and he knew
the girl would be mad.
A young blonde happened to walk by noticing the man having some trouble with his car. Winry Rockbell was on her way to the train station to catch a train back to Rizempool but she figured she had
enough time to stop and help. She could fix that tire in a snap, being the mechanic she is. She headed on over to him, getting on the ground beside the man.
"Need some help?" She smirked, looking over at him.
He glanced up to see who was speaking to him, a cigarette hung from his
lips. "Uh..." He hated to have to admit it, especially to a girl. But he did need it. "...Yea actually." He sighed.
She smiled, and gladly took the jack from him and started working on fixing the tire. "I thought so. You looked pretty distressed."
This was true. He puffed on his smoke. "Because I'm late for a date." He groaned.
She had already started to unbolt the flat. One more and she could remove it. "So, just tell her what happened. I'm sure she'll understand."
He watched her take off the destroyed tire and pick up the replacement one, putting it in place. He was impressed. "I doubt that. She probably already left thinking I stood her up. And she'll probably ignore me, never giving me a chance to explain." He sighed. "I've never had much luck with
girls."
"Then forget her." She replied, she knew all to well about how Mustang would take his dates from Edward. As she began to bolt the new tire on, she added, "If she's going to act like that and never give you a
chance, she's not worth it." She told him.
Jean thought this over watching her finished up with the tire. "I guess you're right." He grinned at her. "And thanks for fixing my car. You're pretty good at it." He admitted.
"Of course I'm right." She laughed. "And no problem. But now I'm running late and probably missing the last train home." She moaned.
He got up, taking her hand and pulling her up as well. "Hop in." He said, opening the passenger side door for her. "I'll give you a lift."
She was taking a back at first but still got in. "Thanks, this means a lot." She watched him smile in return.
And soon, they were on the road to Winry's. The blonde sitting there beside him the whole time wondering how such a nice man could have such bad luck with women.
