I woke up early to go finish a project which consisted of me busing out to a different part of town to take a picture of a police officer in front of a statue that is a good 5 blocks away from her office. So the past few days in Eugene have been really goofy, one minute pouring down rain then bright and sunny. During the bright and sunny periods Laura and I went to the nearby fancy schmancy grocery store in search of good bread. We spent quite a long time in there while she looked for good cheese. You know what sucks?! waking up for an 8 o'clock class, taking a quiz and then being done in 40 minutes. I want to go back to sleep but have too much to do. I hate it when this happens. Now I guess I'll go to the library to watch some stuff for writing, hopefully I don't fall asleep.

This weekend was really chill, didn't do much of anything. Sunday I went the local humane society to take pictures of a lady and a dog for a newspaper type project. Around 11 I randomly decided to see what we were going to do in photo the next day and it turned out that there was a paper due. So I was up until 1 doing that. This past week I have been going to a lot of photography speakers that are in town. One was a local photographer who takes pictures of protests, and living in Eugene there are a lot of them. I guess when he was flying to Canada to document one protest they took him aside and almost didn't let hime enter the country because he had a Eugene address. ( Read more... )

I did so much today! It's simply crazy. Didn't want to wake up today at all, but I only had two classes so there was no reason to skip them. Between the two I got to go into a special photo lab that in the journalism school to pick up some film. So I was going to take the train up to portland. The portland train station is huge, so when i was looking for the eugene station I was looking for the same. After I walked by it and got pointed back towards it, the train station turned out to be a mobile home type thing, so odd. Anyway my train was delayed by nearly 4 hours so I took a bus. I rode the bus today. Lost in Translation and Incubus' new cd came out so I took the bus to the mall. It was actually quite fun. The first bus had better seats, but the driver was bad.
