Terry and Shay could talk about this, too. Meaning, traumatic life events. Despite the perception in the Nexus, Terry is hardly a sheltered, naive Irish girl. She's seen far too many disembowled bodies and blood while with X-Force to ever be naive.
Again, this was wonderfully written. I've never seen a Shayera come close to yours. <3 <3 )
((Why, thank you. Due credit should go to our Harley player for beta-ing it, but I'd been meaning to go into Shay's childhood a little more for a while. I mean, yes, everyone knows she's got Issues, but she's pretty functional so it's hard to really express how deeply messed up she really is. Years and years of trauma there.
I like the chance to explore parts of her history and personality, because there's so much there to explore. You have to give Truman and Ostrander credit - they covered all the bases. That's how characters should be written.
Shay and Jenny can still chat on Sages, though, right? They'd hit it off so well. Heh.
