Woman, you crack me up. Comparing IAR to a famous literary piece about a whale? Really, or is it just my medicine messing with my head? I have to say that as sad as I am to see that the end is near the way that you are wrapping up the loose ends of the story is wonderful. You are a master, because how often do you follow a fantastic story only to have it start to peter out towards the end? Great update, as usual!

Why thank you, Jess. Good God no, I'd never compare fanfic to Moby DIck (and yes I've read it four times and am unashamed) except as an analogy to some crazy motherfracker chasing a white-whale-ending around an entire ocean. And seemingly forever while everyone on the ship rolls their eye...

And what?! Peter out?! I refuse to peter out! (laughing) I want the last three chapters to be deserving of the few that were fun or enjoyable in the 27 before. Thank you, sweetie, for reading and for writing. Now off to the grocery store I go. Need anything?

Lol. Do I need anything? Oddly enough I just got back from the grocery store, had to restock my kleenex and meds. Did you get anything fun and exciting?

And the reference to Moby Dick was where I was going, I wasn't going to call you Ishmael. As to petering out, as I can recall another awesome and awesomely massive story that had a phenomenal ending, I'm not too worried about that happening with you.

Dude--I got nothing but lame sh*t from the store. I never blow my nose. I don't have to. We can talk about my major sinus surgery offline. (LMAO)

As for Ishmael, Jess? It's apt.

"Call me Ishmael. Some years ago-never mind how long precisely-having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me on shore, I thought I would sail about a little and see..."

I've sailed about and seen. Another story.

I do wish I'd tossed kleenex into the cart for you. I hope you'll enjoy the ending, lass.

Love,

Me

Everyone in the fashion world thinking that the cover is a secret message for them -- hilarious.

It's the press asking obvious questions again. Love Miranda's answers: “Our reaction? Our reaction is to applaud the sheer journalistic doggedness that led you to the conclusion that Miranda is indeed on the cover of this month’s issue with her employee Serena. Any other questions?”

Miranda tapped her foot as she listened. “What does it mean? It means she’s on the cover with Serena. This is Runway, after all, not The Da Vinci Code. We thank you for your interest. Goodbye.”

Cassidy-Caroline scene -- awesome.

Serena-Miranda scene -- awesome.

Hi. Thank you so much for reading.

I like inane questions a lot--so I'd imagine Miranda would like them even more. And I think the fashion world would be particularly susceptible to reading hidden messages in...scarves or even worse.

I'm glad you enjoyed the particular scenes you mentioned for a writer's reasons.

Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Roy losing it was hilarious, but really, each scene, each conversation, in this is perfect. Short of repeating the whole darn thing -- and saying each bit is amazing -- I'm not quite sure what to say...

Except that having a definite end in sight = very close to heartbreaking.

Well, l_n, you're more than kind. But you know that. Thank you, as always, for commenting.

And I'll PM you about the other writing we were discussing....

Most excellent...as sad as I am to see it end, it is nice to see the conclusion to this wonderful universe you have created. Thank you for the chapters and the characters that you frankly have made real.

I was about to go to bed when I checked DWP comm. Had a pretty horrid week, was heading towards better, then this did the trick; now I'm all smiles. Thanks, really. -Nici

Nici?

You know what? 'Real' writers rarely get instant feedback. They don't know their writing means anything to the people who read them in the instant they read it. That's one of the pleasures of writing fanfic. To know I made you happier today, if only for a few minutes, makes me happier. Thank you for reading and I do hope your weekend is better than your week.

Thanks for the comment.
