You WIN!
Having been "under the knife" yesterday (out-patient, no biggy), I have a lot of sympathy for Miranda.
But on the whole, you gave me my favorite kind of read: pace, pace, and more pace.
Thanks, and bloody well done, old bean!

Anyone who calls me old bean is ace in my book. Sorry about the knife-part but I'm really glad you enjoyed the chapter.

Thanks for continuing to read.

Wow.

I think your Andy said it best:
Foot soldiers and generals have different reactions. But when the shit really hits the fan, the general’s a soldier, too.

Cool to see the general getting to be an action hero... or at least that's what I'm saying to myself now that the old heart-rate is coming back down to something within reach of 'normal'. Couple of minutes ago, it was more along the lines of WTF?! OMFG! Nooo! ... definitely shall not need a second cup of coffee this morning... but the quick bit of banter with Dr. Allen helped ground the roller coaster ride.

BTW, thank you for not cliff hanging. Don't think I've mentioned it before, but the story is addictive enough without, and I appreciate your not going for the easy hooks.

Well, I'm very happy you enjoyed it.

I can only imagine authors who write cliffhangers enjoy being left on a cliff. I don't. It would be wildly fair for anyone to say that, sometimes, the amount of time it takes for me to update justifies a cliff (and I'd take that bullet like Miranda) but no. Never "a shot rang out..." TBC.

Thank you for reading--more in email.

This story is wonderful. I avidly watch for each installment and ravenously read each one. I've gotten into the habit of going back to the previous chapter, rereading it and then continuing. It is a pleasant way to spend some of what little free time I have. Your Andy and Miranda are wonderfully characterized. Your original characters are new and refreshing. I look forward to the continuation of this tale, although I'm saddened that it is racing towards its conclusion.

Hi, duwinter. You're so kind and I'm really happy you've followed it through all this time. I'm sad too, but happy, to have it end. I love all the characters and they will always have a presence in the scrapbook of my brain. But they're in the living room of my mind right now, so you see what I mean? I do appreciate your reading and your comments.

MMM. I love the smell of a good ass kicking in the morning! Okay...so that sounded better in my head...Oh ho! Not one...but two! Although technically Miranda's kicking of Alicia's was what my friends from Philly refer to as an "ace kickin'".

What an enjoyable way to start off my school day. Thanks as always.

P.S. Parts 28A & B...Seeing as you're in a stretching mood, can I get a C & D?

I think that sounds pretty good. And God knows--as long as 28B will be (see? 2Bs?) it may become C.

I'm really glad you liked it. I'm writing femslash with and editor/writer as lovers. The ass-kicking potential is usually nominal or terribly sublimated. But, every once and a while...

Thank you for reading, ravenbull. Always love hearing from you.
