Umm... wow... ::goes back and re-reads, realizes there's nothing more to say but:: Really ... Wow... Perfect distillation of Miranda.

For reading and for writing. I lifted the whole of Miranda staying awake to know she was out of pain from experience with my mother, may God rest and keep her. She spent the last years of her life in unrelenting pain but she was a trooper.

A quick suggestion from her? The master?

"[Add my name], if you're ever hurting? Count back from 1000 by 17s. It won't work all that long so then do 13s. 15's too easy because the five makes the pattern so obvious. You have to do odd numbers for pain. Even's too easy. 19 and 11 are too close to whole tens so they're cheats. Don't use them. And if that doesn't work, recite the Periodic Table of Elements backwards."

See? I like women who are so much cooler than I am.

I love it. Your Andy and Miranda are the ultimate in characterization. I hope I spelled that right. No sleep makes you do the wonky. Please keep'em coming is the only thing I can think to ask, and keep up the good work. It's a little trite. I know I say it every time, but this is an excellent piece. I love the emotions you convey through the words. Brilliant.

Excellent, I love scenes between the two of them. just them bantering, talking, expressing how they feel. Those are my favorite scenes.

Sorry I didn't comment on the last update, but I didn't see it until I was just going to bed... so I read it (obviously) but was too tired to comment... now today I found this one.. a GREAT way to wake up btw :)

You're putting me to shame though... because I haven't really been able to make much progress on my story and here you update twice in as many days... which I'm totally grateful for!
