I remember the days before all this. No one runs around stealing wedding bands because of Sonic the Hedgehog. No one climbs through sewers and jumps on mushrooms because of Super Mario Brothers.

Superman causes thousands of kids a year to jump off of a dangerously high place to see if they can fly.

If one doesn't have the common sense to see that pixels on your monitor are not at all related to the world in which we all live and breathe, then this makes me ponder one thing.

What happened to survival of the fittest? It's still going strong, in these "gamers." These are the people that, were we still living in the wilds, in a young society, would go walk up to a lion or a bear, because they were curious. Isn't that the same as suicide? Everyone knows not to go near a nine foot cat that has a territorial problem.

And everyone knows not to commit suicide over a bit of programmed code.
