I called that. I totally called that.

Okay, only from the beginning of the episode but, still, totally called.

Made the climax of the ep not quite as dramatic as it could've been, but it was unavoidable.

I really enjoyed the episode and the storyline in general. I suppose this mini-arc didn't have a huge emotional impact, but it still worked really well. VM gets a lovely cumulative complexity into its mystery stories, and it's a shame they're heading towards more standlone episodes now.

Are they heading towards that? Don't think it really suits the show. As you said, it's good at the cumulative complexity. All the tangling up of plot, build-up of mystery, the snarky Mars Duo investigating it. The soapier stuff, less so.
