Gorillas and orangutans close to extinction, and Yangtse river dolphins may already be gone. I could make some comment on this, but I think the article depressingly says it all, not to mention the below quote:

One in three amphibians, one in four mammals, one in eight birds and 70% of plants so far assessed are believed to be at risk of extinction
