She Shines... In a World Full of Ugliness.

I had to do a bit of last-minute research on the symtoms of broken ribs/fractured ribs. And then, I had to figure out the whole broken arm thing. Why is it that I come up with nifty ideas that could quite possibly involve the Husband's current knowledge of the biological sciences and then just... never ask him? I have no idea. I have decided that ( Read more... )

Dave broke both his arms several years ago. It made it rather difficult for him to eat as he couldn't bend them and didn't want anyone to feed him. Fortunately, before he managed to starve, or overdode on chocolate shakes, a friend dropped in. Dave is one of those guys who can't talk without moving his hands. By the time Phil had left he'd got enough mobility back that he could actually reach his own mouth again.

Drew sounds a right cunt. It's very hard to convince people to leave their partners. I have another e-friend who's partner is an abusive bastard; but she lives in hope that one day he'll change for the better. Perhaps if he finds God - but even that is no guarantee. Take Homer for example!
The sad thing is, she is 18 years old and they both live with her parents. It would be a simple matter of packing his suitcase and shoving him out the door.

Her parents need to get into the picture and be like, "OUT." That is what my mother did and I will always be grateful for her really large slaptotheface/eye opening event. If it hadn't been for her, I would probably still be with the guy and things would not be as they are now, I can assure you.

I'm thinking about sledge-hammering Drew's head in. Nichole would probably be upset about it, but honestly, I think I have a pretty good reason to do it.

Sometimes, you stay in the bad situation because you dont know where you're going to go and you think maybe things will get better...but they usually don't, unless the other person changes. And I dont know if thats possible without significant external change at that point...
I havent spoken to him since I heard about him hitting nicky, but I'd like to hear his side of it and have a serious talk with him.

By the way, I got a book on Tarot. It started as a joke, since I'm living in a tent (Sheila was like "yeah, I'll tell people theres a gypsy telling fortunes in the back yard") but I have always had interest in it so I'm reading up on it and gonna borrow sheila's deck.

No, you don't want to hear his side of it. I'll tell it to you: "It's all her fault. It's always all her fault. I had to hit her because she was going crazy." Yeah, well, so was he and as a martial artist he should know better since what is the first rule of martial arts? Oh, yeah, if possible, don't use the skills you learn.

You can't borrow Tarot decks. It doesn't work that way. You need to buy your own if you're serious about working on it.

Then your friend is going to have to do the readings for you otherwise you won't get proper readings.
