Reading this made me feel strange. It's as if all the words should make sense to me, but because they're so scattered, they don't. Perhaps you just wanted to get it all out there, but ended up presenting it too vaguely, or maybe because I'm not very familiar with the American culture, it didn't really do anything to me. The last two bits made this entire reading worthwhile. They got that little cynical chuckle out of me, whether it was intentional or otherwise. You used strong words, molding them together with ease and assurance, and they had the right effect on me.
If you feel like it, you're welcome to drop by my blog at http://ladylazaurusp.blogspot.com/ Judging by your comments, I'm guessing it will be too cliché for you to read, but you're welcome just the same…
Thank you. Especially in that you, a person from another country (or more importantly, from significantly different cultural roots) can not relate, your comments have solidified the theme of this poem as one of culture: not necessarily of comparison to other cultures, but of inward reflection about one's own culture that may seem alien to others. Of course, there's also the problematic nature of the scattered imagery-that perhaps you could relate if there were a more logical narrative with which to apply the images. I'll have to consider this in revision.
I checked some of your poetry, and it seems promising. And I would love to know an Israeli writer to have a broader perspective on the world; but I post all of my work on LiveJournal. I have no Blogspot. Would I still be able to add you as a friend, or do I need a Blogspot account?

I just woke up and am way too groggy to go into super analytical mode, but maybe we can discuss it later.
