[playlog] Skyward Sword - LIKE A BOSS

YAAAYYYYY I BEAT THE BOSS RUSH~
(Note: Do not be miserly when shopping in Skyward Sword! What else are you going to use the rupees for anyway?XD)

It was only after I equipped like every extra heart Link had and powered up with Guardian potions before starting :P And honestly, it did not feel as difficult as the earlier attempts, though there were parts that were definitely tougher than the original boss fights. I guess the game notices when I'm using STRATEGY!! and rewards Link for it.

So I got the indestructible and traditional Hylian Shield at last! ...makes me wonder why I bothered upgrading the Sacred Shield so much... oh well... thanks for all the assist, Gondo.

Link can now continue his adventure with his usual gear:) He can go back into Boss Rush to play for money now, but I think he's just eager to get on with the quest. Unfortunately, I'm playing.

After getting the Hylian Shield I foolishly decided to begin the Silent Realm trial to open the path to the Triforce. Unfortunately I underestimated how tired I was and poor Link failed three times.DX

It was also really spooky to see the familiar terrain of Skyloft transformed into a Silent Realm. At this point in the game, most players would have come to regard Skyloft as home, just like Link and Zelda... so to see it like this with the terrifying Watchers and Guardians, and all the while knowing that life in Skyloft is carrying on as usual (I made the mistake of doing this during the day cycle, which only heightened the feeling of dissonance) - the other Silent Realms were bad enough, but this is terribly unsettling on a fundamental level.

How many times does Link have to prove that he's the one true hero anyway? Doesn't the fact that he managed to get his sword reforged by the fires of Din, Nayru and Farore, AND Zelda/Hylia herself blessed his blade and made it the Master Sword, PLUS he got the Dragons to hand over the Song of the Hero, AND he beat the Boss Rush and got the legendary Hylian Shield, count for anything?DX GAME U R MEAN. ;_;

Also, it seems that I came perilously close to triggering the gamebreaking glitch, but luckily I'm not usually in the mood for extensive exploration when I'm trying to finish a subquest.
