Domluka has destroyed my ability to read any sort of gay oriented/slash/fanfiction of any other author because literally nothing comes close. The fact that he's on hiatus (the kind where no one knows where the fuck he is) is now going to ruin my life for good as ive run out of his stories to read (or re-read in some cases

Have you read Shadow of the Templar, or anything by Jesse Hajicek/Jumping Jack Flash? Neither of these is much like Domluka's work, since the premises are mostly not very reality based, but the quality is definitely there. I could probably think of a few other things of excellent quality, but it really depends how much of the big name stuff you've read when it comes to original slash. Most of the stuff that's really good is obviously also really well known.

I like Domluka's stuff a lot too, though it's probably been a couple of years since I've read any of it so my memory of it's pretty hazy. Mostly I just remember that it was awesome.

I KNEW I recognised your icon from somewhere.
I was just randomly cruising around livejournal reading entries when I saw it and I was like "hmmmmm......I've definitely seen that pic before"
right....and then i was reading your entries and BAM! I totally remembered reading some of your reviews at Sonny and Ais's 'In the Company of Shadows'. LOL, then I saw 'sonny' in one of your tag entries I think? But seriosuly if I'm wrong then please ignore me >_< Well anyway, I got really excited coz I'm SO obsessed with that story and I loved ur reviews :D
On a side note! I havent read domluka's works but I totally recommend 'captive prince' by S.U Pacat. It's the sort of high quality read that I think you're looking for; amazzzing characterisation with lots and lots of plot twists. :)

I've read Captive Prince already and I'm glad your enjoying Sonny and Ais' ICOS. I loved that series although for some reason I actually never went back to finish everything. Its on my to do list but I've fallen in love with Domluka and can't seem to stop reading-rereading his stories. If you want, I can link you his site.
