I must focus on this speech so that I don't embarrass myself in front of the professors and other graduate students. The internet is just so addictive and easy compared to a speech. I miss you guys :(. I can't wait for the weekend ( Read more... )

If you loved Will Arnett and you loved Grindhouse, you'll be happy to find out that he was the voice in the preview "Don't"

Come on over to check out the Will Arnett Research Project at http://blutharnett.blogspot.com

Thanks! I missed that preview the first time around (potty-break), so I have another reason to watch the movie again. The site's pretty awesome, too- thanks for linking.

I actually have an Entertainment Magazine with an article about Grindhouse, as well (they gave it an 'A')- we could switch! I totally agree with you about Kill Bill, Volume II- more cerebral- exactly.

I haven't seen True Romance, Jackie Brown, or From Dusk til Dawn.
Also- weren't From Dusk 'til Dawn and Sin City directed by Rodriguez? Oh, wait- Sin City had a section directed by Tarantino, didn't it (my dirty little secret is I didn't like Sin City all that much)?

I have not read the comics yet, as I have been preparing for the brownbag I gave today all freaking week (I get nervous for speeches- and this one was an hour long in front of professors asking me questions).

True Romance is awesome, though Tarantino wrote it and Tony Scott directed. Christopher Walken! Gary Oldman! How can you go wrong?
Jackie Brown's not very good, honestly. And From Dusk Till Dawn was codirected by the pair - But it's actually a bit like Grindhouse in that the first half is straight-up Tarantino and the second is straight-up Rodriguez. And yes, Sin City was Rodriguez, but Tarantino was "Special Guest Director"... I'm not sure of his exact involvement, but I still consider it one of "his" movies.

Will Arnett is also in "Let's Go to Prison" which I currently have on NetFlix (rented it only because he's in it) but have yet to watch. Colby and I will watch it soon (maybe tonight?) if you would like to join us.

I wasn't planning on watching Let's Go to Prison due to my own weirdness with not wanting to be disappointed with an actor, but as I've figured out that everything that Will Arnett says makes me laugh, I would love to watch it with you guys. I think that there is something with Erin's birthday going on tonight maybe (not really clear about that), so I don't know if I can watch it (I'm sure you guys are invited to Erin's thing, too- it's just not clearly defined what that 'thing' is so there's no set plan and I don't even know if there's really anything going on). If you guys watch it and I can't watch it with you, can I maybe borrow it and give it back to you?
