It just dawned on me that in the history books our generation will be looked at as the "Japanese Explosion: The time when anime ruled the western world". Our legacy will be one of giant sweat drops and ninja power-ups.

If I ever read that in an art history book I might have to die shortly after closing it in disgust.

I think a small part of me just died thinking of that. It was that small part that tolerated people who draw anime.

one of my biggest fears: i will never escape my anime roots.
in art communities, i still put my work in the anime category. i shudder every time, though.

I wouldn't really call your style anime at all actually. I think it's more of a classical/Art Nouveau hybrid. Also all the characters in a lot of anime are pretty much dopplegangers of eachother. All your characters have very unique traits specfic to each one.

Which is what impresses me the most I think.

That and they are all very expressive.
