Everything seemed...
Empty. Like nothing cheerful would ever happen again.
It sucked.
Tonks limped into the drawing room, still not fully healed, but doing a hell of a lot better after the battle at the Ministry. What wasn't going to heal was her broken heart. She'd loved her cousin and having him taken away so soon after being reunited with him wasn't fair. What made it worse was that the only person who understood her pain refused to see her.
Fucking Remus.
And poor Harry...back with those Muggles.
She wiped at her eyes which were puffy and blooshot.
The funeral was tomorrow and she didn't know how she would deal with it. She was going to need Charlie and Bill just to walk in that room. She wished she could count on Remus, but maybe...maybe everyone was right and he was a lost cause. But...
This was not the time to think about herself. Sirius was dead. And she felt...miserable.
Tonks hobbled her way to the sofa and sat down, holding a pillow close to her body and crying into it.
