Name: Jenos Hazard [Template Universe]
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Sexuality: Secretly bisexual
Apartment: Building W-4, Apartment 3-1, with Irvine Kinneas.
Marked: No As of the memory plot, she is marked with a crown that sits beneath the VII roman numeral tattoo marking her left shoulder.
Appearance: Jenos is a lovely looking woman, standing at 5'8" with dark green, tousled shoulder-length hair and lively brown eyes. She's mostly seen laughing, smiling, grinning, being happy and playful in general. Her usual outfit consists of an unrevealing black suit with a v-collared pink shirt underneath - when people see her for the first time, they tend to mistake her for an effeminate man. On her left shoulder is her Chronos tattoo - the roman numerals for seven - and she wears a simple chain necklace around her neck. She has a tendency, if caught in one of the rare moments where she's not wearing her suit, to be seen wearing baggy and/or boyish clothing, only adding on more to the 'effeminate man' appearance she tends to have going. The closest she may get to 'girlish' clothing is form-fitting tanktops and shorts, and never skirts or dresses unless someone pleads and/or it's Chronos business.
Personality: Jenos is playful and fun loving, but this doesn't mean that she doesn't know when she needs to be serious. She takes pride in her position as No. VII of the Chronos Numbers, and won't take lightly to anyone insulting that. She's also very mischievous and cunning - this side mostly appears when she's having a fun fight, though she'll also show it through pranking people every now and then. She's also a MAJOR flirt. While suave in her own way, Jenos tends to be unsuccessful when she flirts with men, whether it's because she says odd things they don't get the meaning of, she gets dragged off by someone else [most popularly Rins], or because the other party mistakes her for a man and skirts away from her advances. [Not to say she's successful when she actively tries flirting with women, either.]
She's deeply protective of those she cares for, and will become virtually useless when a situation such as a loved one being held hostage appears. This is why working in the trio known as Cerberus becomes yet another advantage besides just being Chronos' specialized commando arm - Belga and Nizer can get duty done when she can't, or can liberate the hostage to enable her to be able to fight again. She's also quite smart and talented, able to think on her feet and work with her surroundings to manipulate them to her advantage, whether in a fight or otherwise. Despite all this though, she does have her shortcomings - due to events in her past, she has difficulty trusting people, though she hides this beneath her friendly and outgoing attitude.
Abilities/Strengths: Jenos is a trained master assassin, quick on her feet and quick to kill. She uses a pair of gloves named Excelion as her weapon - with nimble fingers and expertise she manipulates thin, nearly invisible wires attached to the fingertips made of a nearly indestructible material called orichalcon [in fact, only one weapon is ever shown cutting into this material: Creed's Imagine Blade]. She can use them to cut her opponent like a razor, and if caught in her wires, slice them to pieces, or to catch herself/someone else when she's/they're falling. In short, it has the uses of strengthened wire with the possibilities of a sword, pretty much. Jenos is the only one who can use them, as well. She was trained, and Excelion chose her to wield them when she became Number VII. If anyone else wore them, even if the glove fit right, it would still feel awkward for them and they would fail in controlling the wires properly.
Her cheerful and friendly attitude makes her the least intimidating member of Cerberus, if not the Numbers in general, and it helps her when she's out in the streets on recon or otherwise to throw people off to who she actually is or what her true intentions are. It causes people to underestimate her and her true abilities, which gives her the upper hand in almost every battle she chooses to fight as she catches the enemy off-guard with fast and deadly attacks.
Weaknesses: Jenos' main weakness is men. Jenos is a gigantic flirt, ready to flirt with any attractive man who catches her eye. [The only exceptions are those of the Chronos Numbers and her targets - she's very professional about her job.] Her compassion in general is a big fault as well; she cannot attack a target if they have a hostage, and when she fights she tries to avoid getting anybody else caught up in it. She also has problems trusting people, and bringing herself to truly allow them into her comfort zone - she's constantly keeping people at an arm's length, though she hides it behind her facade of cheer and friendliness.
history: Jenos' life before Chronos isn't exactly something she talks about often. She had a relatively good family life - her mother and father took good care of her and her brother, and they led good lives with decent jobs. The Hazard family lived in comfort and happiness... until one day, her parents were killed in a car crash. Jenos and her brother were left to fend for themselves - her brother had to support them, and refused Jenos' idea of going to an orphanage. So, instead, when she was old enough she got a semi-job; she helped out with cleaning in various stores around their home, and was payed for her hard work by the store owners.
While she didn't have the comfort she'd had previously, Jenos was happy. She had her brother, and they were managing to pull through all right on their own. But when she was sixteen, her life finally fell through. Returning home from her new job as a cashier at a small floral shop, Jenos was attacked by her brother, who had slowly been snapping under the pressure of supporting them both, and sought to kill her to make his life easier. Frightened and panicked, Jenos managed to turn the knife her brother wielded back on him, and accidentally killed him. This is a deep psychological scar for her, and while she's so easygoing and outgoing to meet people and make friends, she's always secretly scared they'll do the same as her brother did. The only two she trusts with her life are Belga and Nizer. Now all alone, Jenos was found and taken in by Chronos. She was trained as an Eraser, and eventually was chosen to become a Number, one if thirteen of Chronos' exclusive group of assassins, by Excelion. So she worked to clean up the world, killing corrupted officials and completing her missions.
One day she got a new mission: locate the infamous thief Rinslet Walker and convince her to take a mission for Chronos. And so Jenos broke into and installed a remote transmitter in the sight of her next theft, the mansion of a mafia boss, and hiding out in her car put the thief to work by tripping the alarm of the mansion she was thieving with a remote transmitter to test Rinslet's skills. The two, while talking, were forced to flee from the thugs who sought to get the necklace Rinslet had stolen back or kill the thief, and Jenos explained what had gone wrong to the thief.
This, as you can guess, earned her quite a slap.
But she explained the mission to Rinslet - try to get as much information as she could on Creed Diskenth, the Apostles of the Stars, and where they were hiding out. At first the thief refused, but changed her mind as the mansion thugs showed up and Jenos showed her prowess with Excelion by defeating them, then offered to become Rinslet's body guard. Once the thief agreed, the two set off to meet up with Sephiria Arks, Chronos Number I, to get more details. The next mission involved Rinslet accompanying Cerberus - made of Number V Nizer Bruckheimer, Number XI Belga J. Heard, and Jenos herself - to Stock TOwn, where Chronos was sure Creed and his Apostles were hiding out. After a brief conflict between Rinslet and Sephiria Rinslet agreed, and Jenos, Nizer and Belga headed to Stock Town with Rinslet in tow.
But once they got there, Rinslet was captured, and Cerberus rushed in an all out assault on Creed's castle to get her back and, ideally, kill him all at once. Met at first by Leon, Maro and Charden, the three broke through and charged to the roof of the castle. There, Jenos and Belga were first forced to keep back as Nizer fought a nanomachine created werewolf, before Jenos had to save Rinslet from a fall to her death. Train came and swept Rinslet away true to his profession, and Jenos, Belga and Nizer fought Creed all out. The fight left Nizer half dead from a near-fatal shot by Echidna, who created a plan with Belga - for him to hold Creed, so Belga could shoot him. Jenos was forced to watch as her partner Nizer sacrificed himself to kill Creed.
But Jenos couldn't allow that to happen. She wrapped Belga's cannon with her wires, forcing him to miss Nizer and Creed, saying "The mission is to destroy Creed - but even if we complete that mission, what's the use if we lose our comrades?!" When Creed intentionally hit Nizer's wound to force the man to release him, Jenos became infuriated and attacked Creed, managing to slice off an arm before Creed escaped with Echidna. Carrying an unconscious Nizer, Jenos and Belga rushed to escape the collapsing castle. But as they ran, a portion of the ceiling fell... but Belga caught it before it crushed Jenos and Nizer. Thanking her for keeping him from soiling his hands with the blood of a comrade, Belga ordered Jenos to go, and Jenos was forced to leave Belga to his death under the rubble of the collapsing castle. She only learned this when she returned to the hospital Nizer was kept in though, and confirmed it with Belze. With the guilt of Belga's death and the need to finish what Cerberus started, Jenos resolved to continue fighting on and someday destroy Creed. Leaving the hospital, Jenos set out to find Rinslet again.
Gifting the thief with a bouquet of flowers, Jenos made it known she had survived and was promptly greeted with a punch for her troubles. But she and Rinslet talked, and Jenos explained what happened at Creed's castle, and also told Rinslet about two Chronos numbers - Number VIII Baldorias S. Fanghini and Number IV Kranz Maduke, who had "fighting madness", or an unnatural love for fighting. When she heard about their mission to destroy all Apostles, and were going after Kyoko Kirisaki and consequently Train, Rinslet forced Jenos to take her along to the sight of the battle where Jenos broke up a fight between the two Numbers, a child Train, and Sven. There Sven and Train talked Jenos into trying to convince Sephiria to pardon Kyoko, which Sephiria agreed to think about - after she met Kyoko for herself. Jenos and Rinslet accompanied Kyoko to meet Sephiria, where she was ultimately pardoned by Sephiria and returned home to Jipangu.
After this, Jenos returned to her duties as the only active member of Cerberus - while Nizer had recovered and awoken, he was still troubled by his wound and unable to fight. She accompanied Sephiria, Number X Lin Shaolee, Baldor and Kranz to Clarken Island where Creed had relocated himself, and partnered with Shaolee for the mission helped clean out Creed's soldiers, including one of his most powerful soldiers, an experimental cyborg made of nanomachines. As Train finished his battle with Creed, Jenos called Rinslet who got a helicopter flown over to the island to picked up injured Sweepers who had been gathered by a disguised Shaolee earlier to divert Creed's attention from the Numbers. After a short talk with Sven and Train, Jenos said her goodbyes and returned to her normal duties as a Number.
Just as things were quieting down once more and Jenos was settling back into the swing of things, she found herself in a strange city she couldn't recognize.
