Blimey! That's some serious snow up there!
I've just been down to the seafront and it's still lingering about even here!

It was quite something, wasn't it? The views from inland were amazing, with the sunlight on the snow-covered Downs!

You really are mad! I went horse riding but it wasn't out on the South Downs, because that would just be stupid in that weather! ;)

Saw a few ponies up there who didn't seem too bothered by it - but no riders though!

In fact, we didn't see anyone else full stop! :)

Wish I had a real fire to welcome you home with homemade veg soup etc. I'm not in America for much longer, so if you did want to visit, while I am here, please do. I'd say bring snow with you, but I think that breaks a law or two and I'm sure I'll get to enjoy a healthy does of it next winter wherever i am in Europe. x

I was seriously considering going out for a play myself, but the fact I'm gamely fighting off a chest infection meant common sense said stay in the warm. Bah.

Hardly any snow down here, which for a change I'm glad of as its a bit hard walking on snow with a stick.

Looks like you had fun up on the downs. Amazing to think just a few days ago the temperature was up to around 17!

Yeah, spoke to my Mum in Devon later in the day and she was saying how gorgeous the weather was!

Forecasters called it spot on though; like you say, hard to believe that one day I'm riding in shorts and the next I'm riding in everything!
