Snowdrops in the garden, a hint of yellow from the daffodils. And in the barn, new-born lambs bleating (much earlier than expected, but Julia and Simon seem suckers for rescue sheep, plus one of last year's lambs has turned out to be more than a little precocious ( Read more... )

OMG!

I've seen loads of snowdrops over the last fortnight, but definitely no yellow things!

10 days later... there were hints of yellow at the roadsides today, but definitely nothing flower-like yet!

Fluff's great in animals - but less so in people (well, in my opinion anyway :) )

Yeah, but I wish I could get thrown out in more exciting ways. My club banishment history is as follows:

1. Getting banned cos I created a website in honour of a closing club
2. Ignoring a Toilet Closed sign

Rock'n'roll, yeah baby! ;-)

Hey, it can only grow in the telling!

"Did I ever tell you about the time Matty got thrown out of the sleaziest rock club in Brighton, for doing things in the toilet that the club had a rule against? Well, you see...it went like this...there was this other bloke there, and the toilets were supposedly closed, so..." ...etc, etc.

Closest I got was at Brighton Rocks...at the end of the night, in the huge hall, with the lights up, there were a couple of us still dancing to the play-out track. Cue a bouncer walking across the floor and (apparently quite deliberately) into me before stating "If I was anyone else, you'd have a fist in your face right now".

At least in that case I realised what he wanted - and I wasn't about to give him the satisfaction. Sounds like you got one of the truely random ones, though!

Maybe the daffodils were crocuses? We have those out in thepark now, but I didn't see any snowdrops this year. What happened to those?

Nope, they're definitely daffodils!

Got just a few snowdrops this year...maybe they're just starting late.

Shouldn't snowdrops be first? Then crocuses? Then daffs and bluebells last.

Buggered if I know!

But in the past few days, everything's started growing at once - the only thing missing off your list is the bluebells.
