my dog's poop is covered in blood. i'm scared. i can't lose him....very scared. now fighting with my mom and being jealous of my bro a little while ago doesn't seem so important now or like i should be.

i hope it's just a normal thing for older dogs

Hun, you need to take your dog to the vet ASAP. Blood in the stool is NOT normal for older dogs and it is not a good sign.
Please please please take him soon...like to the emergency vet if you can, please. It's better to be safe than sorry...

thanks for the well-wishes. he's alright. we took him to the vet that day, he doesn't have an intestinal parasite. they think he might have eaten something that just affected his system, or the bacteria balance in his stomach or something. we've got him on a few pills and a healthier diet since he's an old dog now, to be geriatric in a couple of years. sweetie pie, he is, but if you put the pills in his food he will eat around everything BUT the pill, probly cuz he knows cheese is coming if he doesn't. so my mom crushed it into powder, but he sniffs carefully looking for it lol.
