A bit of a do

It is very strange to go to a party for a workplace that made me redundant 6 months ago.

I didn't realise it but one of the other wives at our table was in the same boat too, only from longer ago. Hmm.

It was quite a good do as such things go, much anxiety and self esteem issues to overcome, but I wore a dress, and makeup! An actual dress, not a ( Read more... )

I don't think the double dress thing is bad...if it happened to me I'd consider it an opportunity to run up to the other person and beg for a photograph of the two of us being "twins" and then start chatting. (You have summat in common, some folk call it a fashion faux pas, I call it an icebreaker and a talking point!)

The proper fit on ya can really lift you up, spiritswise. Glad to hear you had fun (apart from bad foods.)

gah! Trinny and Susannah wouldn't stand for any of that....

Are there pics of the dress, would love to see it! And congrats on getting glammed up, v jealous! (my wardrobe is a bit limited what with post-baby weight, rapid breast access needed, and rarely both hands available to put on makeup... :-( )

I didn't manage any pics, but there was a guy wandering around dressed up as 'The Press' who might have been separated from taking photos of guys with the skimpy dressed girls occasionally. I assume his images will be released sometime - TimP?

With such a beautiful baby on your hip you don't need any added glam!
