Last Friday I was feeling a bit down, with my birthday weekend looming empty of Plans, and goblins to fight with about my roots because of the choir thing*.

I got back from work and mostly buried my head in a book to hide from all the things I should have been doing and the thing I wanted to do but felt were impossible.

Sounds like you had a brilliant weekend anyway, apart from the badger which was unavoidable.

The badger may have been avoidable, but we would have then had to deal with the car being on it's roof, which I am led to believe is undesirable :-)
