The Passion of The Christ is in theaters soon - this week on Wednesday.. what do you think about this movie? I'm going to see it for sure - the trailers were enough to convince me. I read somewhere that it's the widest opening ever for a subtitled movie; I have a feeling subtitles won't detract from the full effect of this movie though. After looking at the trailers which have no subtitles or english at all, it was reinforced for me that lack of spoken english in this film won't hurt one bit. To sum up my impression of The Passion: it's a work of art. Good Website Another fascinating aspect to this movie is all the controversy that has been generated about it. well actually my dad and my stepmother r going 2 make this a BIG outting. my stepbrothers are going and bringing some friends, im bringing friends, my sister is going, and my dad will probably invite most of our church, who will invite more people. im actually waiting 4 the day when we can all go see it. my opinion about all the controversy is that its stupid. every1 has a right 2 their own opinion and we're a free country 4 a reason. i mean, when people make movies with homosexuals kissing or being intimate, its praised 4 being so open, but we never hear any negativity about it, although many people disagree w/ homosexuality. now we have a movie depicting something thats important 2 us as christians and everyone wants 2 tear it down. if people disagree w/ the movie, then don't watch it, but respect the rights of those that do and mel gibsons right 2 make this movie. respect the fact that he had the courage, dedication and PASSION 4 wut he believes, because no matter wut anyone believes, we should all admire THAT.
