Mary Daly died yesterday at the age of 81, after a lifetime of much-needed controversy in the name of her cause. My aunt gave me a copy of Gyn/Ecology a few years ago, along with some de Beauvoir and The Dialectic of Sex by Shulamith Firestone. These books more or less shaped who I am. Ooo. Is there some drama I don't know about re: Feministing?

Also I'd be interested in seeing a female dominant culture. I don't wanna come off like one of those trendy misanthropes but less people in general would probably be a crackerjack idea. If I ever get the urge to raise a child, I'm going to adopt. Bringing a new person into the world seems like a dick move all around.
