At the suggestion of one of my other friends, I wanted to do something good and positive here on LJ in honor of a friend who's battling ALS as best she can--and handling it far better than I ever would. I really need to recognize how lucky I am to have all this in my life--to have a life, period.

You have no idea how often I nag James about moving to Asheville. It's in the mountains, freaking gorgeous, and yet still has some larger shopping/urban center type features while maintaining a smalltown feeling. If I can only find a way...

I nag Leo about it pretty often too. He's dead set on Seattle and I'm dead set against it. I fell in love with Asheville when I went last December and I've had this little ache in my heart ever since I left. I think I'm going to blind side him with a trip and then he'll HAVE to fall in love with it like I did. Part of the problem is one of ex... umm... well, he wasn't a boyfriend or a fling... I would say one of my ex-potentials lives there and I think that's his main reason against it. He knows that Les and I are still friends. But I've got a lot of other friends there too, besides Les. He wants to go to Seattle because he's got loads of friends but I don't want to go to another wet climate. WE'll be exhanging hot and humid to cold and humid. I don't think so.

I think if I'm creative enough, I just might convince him... Then if you move there, I'll have another friend there and it would all work out in the end.... *sigh* If only...
