I have trouble really getting into lingerie shoots. I think it's my religious-school background showing itself. So 5 is my favorite, since I'm not being distracted by all the skin. But there's something about her eyes and expression in 9 that's totally arresting.
I have this strange urge to see this same model wearing olive or mint with maybe brown or a creme color for accents. Or gold accents, if there wasn't too much of it.
I totally hear you on the olive/gold/brown vibe! She has the skin tone for it, and I think that's because she's not fully Japanese. She's half Ecuadorian, and so has this gorgeous skin tone for that kind of palette. I definitely would love to shoot her in more natural colors if I ever get the chance.
I also get the feeling that she is uncomfortable in many of these shots. 15 &16 seem the most natural and relaxed. Although I think if #2 had Elsa in that open spot looking up at her it would be adorable.
I think what distracts me in a lot of the shots it I instantly think bubble gum or maybe Ipod commercial. They have a very "commercial" feel. Like something up look up and see a poster of while you are waiting for the T to come through the station. No clue why...
I think that one of the reasons she seems uncomfortable in front of the camera is that she's primarily a runway model, and so is conditioned to give that flat, expressionless 'fierce' fashion look. But the dog and the glasses definitely helped her to let go a little. =)
