You're right with "unterschiedlich" as it is used as an adverb here and thus doesn't need/get a personified ending. Your use of "bester Freund" is also correct but it needs "mein" not "meines", just as the first clause. There is no genitive there, it's a possessive pronoun. When saying "das/dies/er/sie/es ist xy" then xy needs the nominative clause ( ... )

When I said "wir sind OK" I was trying to get across that we work well together as a couple, but I thought it was far too complicated for me to try and work out at this early stage, hehhe.

I thought the same thing about 'Party' as well, I don't even remember why I changed it :S

Thanks, I used to be quite good at German but I'm really rusty now :(

Hier sind ein paar Korrekturen. :-)

Genitive is possesive.. An elegant form for the dative basically.
" Das Auto von meinem Bruder" = " Das Auto meines Bruders."

So "Mein Freund" is the correct use. I see someone already corrected you, so I won't bother repeating it.

You should also read German as well. You will see and understand the correct usage of the grammar that way.

How are you learning German? How long have you been learning?
I'm learning still too. Can I add you?

'Mein Freund' for the first bit, or for when I'm referring to him as my best friend? Just double checking :)

I did German for four years at school and used to be quite good at it, but when I got to age 16 I dropped it because I thought I wouldn't need it (I wanted to be a doctor at the time). Now I'm no longer wanting to do medicine at university, I feel that having some language skills, no matter how basic, would be beneficial, so I've picked it up again after one and a half years of not speaking it. I'm taking classes with the year below me, but it's so hard after not having done it for so long.
And yeah, of course you can add me :D

German grammar is confusing. I can speak and understand it well enough, but my writing is very rusty (must have gotten my last German class about 14 years ago now).
