Libraries

I really like libraries. The concept and the physical entities themselves. There is something awe-inspiring about walking through shelfs holding thousands of books, most of which you will probably never read. It is also somewhat overwhelming if you're trying to find something to read but not sure what. I wish there was a better way to browse

that's a really good point, it would be such a shame if libraries became extinct. too sad to think about. i love being surrounded by actual, in-the-flesh books. i love the way libraries smell. i love when it takes me 2 hours to pick out a book and i just sit there reading the back covers and first 2 pages of 20 or 30 before deciding.

i would recommend "water for elephants" by sarah gruen if you haven't read it. it's not sci-fi, but it's phenomenal.
