BONES 100TH EPISODE
Ok so I loved this episode. I have been waiting to finally see how our favourite team met.
Booth is out playing pool and gambling when he gets a call about a case from a grieving mother, her daughter was killed and dumped in a land fill. In comes Camille who suggest Booth reach out the the Jeffersonian and ask for their help, a one Temperance Brennan.
Booth slips into one of Brennan's lectures and asks her to identify some remains. This being a basis for Booth to assess her ability to provide useful information for the case. Yah we see Zak again. Hodgins is apparently an ass and no one likes him, and Angela is a new acquiescence of Brennan's after they met at one of her art shows. The team slowly form over the course of the episode but what we all want to see is BOOTH AND BRENNAN BEING AWESOME AND FLIRTY AND HOT TOGETHER Y/Y?
There was plenty of that. From their first meeting you can tell there was sparks as they both assessed each other and approved. Brennan was the one that suggested that dominate and independent men find ways to show their distinctiveness, hence the belt buckle in later episodes. This episode we get a tie with a half naked women on the back. lol. I loved how Booth took Brennan's brashness and logical nature as it came and was more intrigued then anything about this weird but beautiful women who has swept into his life.
Booths mere glances at Brennan and Brennan's comments to Angela show that there is an attraction there.
I loved the scene when they were walking around the theater, especially this:
TB: Are you seeing anyone?
SB: Oh wow right to the point there Bones? (pause)Casually but she doesn't really like my hours. You?
TB : Oh well a physicists has been asking me out so I was thinking of saying yes/
SB: I'd ask you out if I could
TB: Why can't you
SB: Well the FBI rules again, no fraternizing with other agents or consultants
TB: That's too bad
TB: Glad you think so
Already there is an obvious attraction and interest by both parties. SQUEEE
lol Brennan totally kicked that judges ass! Punching him twice, who totally saw that coming? lol Her face when he called her ridiculous. lol
SB: See I have a gambling problem but I am dealing with it.
TB: Why did you feel you had to tell me that?
SB: I don't know I just feel like this is going somewhere
TB: Why do you feel that it's going somewhere?
SB: I just feel like I'm gonna kiss you
OMG then the hottest kiss ever, and its FUCKING RAINING AND ITS HOT AND YAH OMG. I always wanted them to make out in the rain and ALSKFHLAH THEY TOTES DID. LOL. LOL AND SWEETS IS ALL WTF OMG. HE HE
The kiss didn't go any further due to excessive tequila shots. The next day Brennan understands or misinterprets why Booth wanted to get drunk and that's when all the arguing and bickering starts. It finished with Brennan hating Booth and declaring that she would never work with him again.
Ok this episodes was great but what I loved/hated was the end. It came back to how the last two seasons have been. We get this amazing moment when we think something is going to happen and then we are shut down and frustrated. I am all for not letting the main characters get together but seriously after how many seasons we have had practically nothing concrete that really showed us how they felt about each other. No one has said the words. Ok Booth supposedly loves Brennan because of his tumour or whatever, seriously, WTF was with that anyways?
The last scene in this episode was pretty epic. Booth makes the move. They have both felt something for a long time as the many many times we have witnesses it. Booth takes the first step and just grabs her and kisses her, but Brennan pulls away. Booth, like us, believes in giving it a chance but Brennan doesn't think she is good enough or has an open heart like Booth cos she thinks all relationships are doomed, blah blah blah and we get nowhere. COME ON THIS WAS THE MOMENT WRITERS TO HAVE THEM TAKE THAT NEXT STEP!! RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW. ahhh. so annoyed. Despite my annoyance the scene was amazing. I do wish Brennan took a chance but Booths words OMG *melts*. He knew he was the guy from the start. SQUEEE
