And I wonder who gave it to Katie, cos they'd have had to Imperio her to get her to di their bidding...

Could you tell me which clues? Sorry if I missed them, I'm reading everything in great detail and I just don't see them. I have been developing a theory about the HBP being Voldemort, but it's sounding weak at the moment and I'd rather be wrong in behalf of Severus. :)

Well, as JKR has stated that it categorically isn't Voldemort...XD

God, Harry is a bit Draco-obsessed, isn't he? C'mon, Harry, get your shit together.

The more he insists on Draco being a Death eater and the culprit of everything, the less I believe it. I think Rowling is deviating our attention from something important...

Levicorpus! This spellbook had to belong to either one of the Marauders or Lily, it HAD to. That's the spell they used on Snape! Of course maybe Snape is keeping track of whatever spells they used on him, but I prefer to think it's the other way 'round. But if Harry suspects it's his dad, then that must be out--it's too obvious. Lily, then? Please, not Snape...

Ginny's being a little standoffish, isn't she? She must be up to something...

OMG, GO HARRY! Whee, I think I am far too excited about Harry's tendency towards violence and backtalk, but it's just so him.

Something is UP with Malfoy, OMG, I need to finish this book asap!

Hmm. He's dismissed his father, because he's pureblood. Sirius, well, he's a Black.

PETER? Naah, he wouldn't call himself a prince, and he was always "not quite in the league" of the other Marauders. I'm guessing Remus, who JKR has told us before is half-blood, if not Snape.

Definitely Remus has a bigger chance to be the HBP than Snape. The latter would be just too obvious. Although, come to think of it, Remus doesn't fit in very well... But there's definitely something up concerning Remus - he's been one of the important crowd before and now he's suspiciously absent.

'and they'd love to have me. We'd be best pals if they didn't keep trying to do me in.'

And in the next chapter Harry will get a postcard: 'Sorry, buddy, that we didn't get on well 'till now. Hope we can talk about it over a pint sometime. Voldie'

Well, I think we can add Sirius and James (because I honestly think they'd each know all the spells the other did) to the possible suspects for the HBP...

Poor Katie, though. I think that the person who gave it to her could be a Slytherin. Who says it has to be Malfoy? What about Pansy? :)

She could be trying to impress Malfoy. Or she could have been trying to get back at Draco for something. . .ooo, the possibilities are endless!
