I read it *_*
Wow..first of all, I realized I'm very slow at reading english when it's different form the usual fanfic vocabulary..but I still understand it well ^^
About the chapter..it was very..unusual..gloomy in the beginning, and I was happy to find out Rowling didn't lose her humour.
It made me think about terrorism, obviously..so damn actual.
Great!

Oh, yes! The bit about the bridge collapsing--I thought about the Underground bombings and what Rowling must have thought of that, a week before the book's release.

I can't be the only one to find the picture of Kingsley as a secretary hilarious.

Nope. And conversely, I can't be the only one who's reduced to insufferable giggles over your icon. *g*

...I very badly want Jeremy Irons to play Scrimgeour.

I definitely snickered at the PM's little "Kingsley! But he's the best guy on my staff!" flail. :)

My moment of mad cackling: when I got my hands on a copy, even though it looked like I wouldn't as I forgot to register at my library.

How the hell do Dementors breed?

Who knows? Maybe there are females and males. They made me feel though, that all dementors were males? Maybe you don't need a 'partner' to have a dementor child? But I could not imagine Demontors as babies...

Maybe they are grown? Ha. We will probably never know.

I always thought that they were genderless. Maybe they reproduce like bacteria, splitting in two.

My God. I think I wasn't expecting this kind of beginning!! And I also think that the time has come when NOONE can attempt to define this as a book for children!
It must be difficult to create a real connection between the "wizarding community" and the Muggles's world, but J.K. made it so..real, indeed! I am really satisfied by this chapter, it gave me shivers ._.
*tries to imagine what will be the new minister's name in the italian version XDD*

I like the way JKR showed Fudge's total incompetence from an outside perspective -- and I love that she opened the book with Grown-Ups Talking About Grown-Up Things. In fact, I think I could read a whole book of just the Prime Minister's reactions to things.

Or maybe I could just fic it. ;)
