Heehee. . .Filch/Pince. . .Luna/Trelawney. . .Oh, the ships I have seen! It's beautiful. . .

And of course, more of that confusing plot stuff. . .That invisibility cloak really is coming in handy.

Oh yes! Luna/Trelawney! They could be such hopelessly lost causes together. <3

Am I the only one who's disgusted that Harry/Luna has a basis in fact now? Bleh...

And Draco's not doing too well...

Well, if we're talking ships... Better Harry/Luna than Harry/Ginny, which is now merely a matter of time it seems. Unfortunately.

Not for me. Harry/Luna makes me quite ill. I like Harry/Ginny. I admit she's being a bit ham-handed about it, but the idea itself doesn't bug me.

I guess you'll be luckier than us H/L shippers then... I envy you, to be honest!

At last, a funny chapter! Yes, that was much needed.

Hermione giggling? I was reminded of quite a few makeover-fics out there... This whole "revenge" thing is pretty funny imho.

And vampires! Ha, they had to be included somewhere...

Draco's "I was trying to gatecrash, happy?" made me laugh out loud. It's so unfitting.

And what was that about? Draco saying "I know what you're doing - I can stop you!"? Does he trust Snape or not?

I believe he thought Snape was attempting Legilimency on him... As for whether he trusts him, I doubt he much trusts anyone, really.

Ooooh yes, stupid me. I'm seeing plot twists at every corner, even if my questions are answered in the next sentences of the chapter...
That makes sense, thanks.

"Despoiled!" she hissed. "Desecrated! Befouled!"

And my first thought was, "Crap. Madame Pince found my NC-17 non-con slashfics."

This is exactly how my boyfriend reacts when he catches me dog-earing my books. He borrows things I've had for years, and meticulously uses a bookmark, sneering at me each time he does so. Even on the ones I've dropped in the tub, etc. I always worry that he's going to pass out when he sees me reading a text for a class with a highlighter and a pencil (which I totally do to cheap paperback copies of Harry Potter books. I try to keep those out of his sight).

It's MY books, so far as I'm concerned. And I can't read non-fiction without a pencil, because I scribble notes about what's in particular paragraphs to make them easier to find.

I feel more justified becuase historical manuscripts with marginalia and notes by readers are more useful than untouched manuscripts - the used ones give us an idea of how the people in period read the texts, as opposed ot how we read it now with our modern sensibilities.

Draco acting the petulant teenager with Snape is a bit painful to watch, after seeing their easy relationship in OotP, and the way that Draco seemed to rely upon him then. The abrupt change makes me wonder if Draco does distrust Snape, or if he's beginning to have qualms about this mysterious plan of Voldemort's and is overcompensating in an attempt to reassure himself.

And Madam Pince is terrifying, not least because I can see a bit of myself in her attitude towards books.

Maybe Bellatrix influenced Draco's opinion of Snape when she was teaching him Occlumency.

That's a good idea; she's certainly vocal concerning her distrust of him.

Yes, well you have to consider that Draco's never been that mature, that his father is in Azkaban (and Voldemort isn't doing anything to bust him out) and that his Mother's basically fallen apart, that he's the new head of the family until his dad comes back, with ALL the responsibilities that entails. That he's a proud 16 year old, that he's been entrusted with a sigularly big mission that is his chance at redemption and to prove himself before Voldemort and restore the dark honor of his family, and that Snape is all but telling him he's crap at it. Draco CAN'T let Snape have a piece of this one, it's too important to him, it means too much, and Draco is too desperate considering his family position and position before Voldemort.
