Slughorn gave Ron a glass of poisoned mead. Seemed rathed shocked by the whole thing. He claims the whole bottle was meant to be a Christmas present for Dumbledore that he never got around to delivering. So the question is - who poisoned the mead, and who were they trying to poison, and what has Slughorn got to do with it?

Oooooooooooooh whodunnit?!? And who was it meant for?!?

Is THIS what Malfoy's been up to? Was Malfoy trying to off Slughorn? Or Dumbledore?

And oh, Ron and the love potion, oh, so cute. Maybe this will be the end of Lavender and Ron? I sure hope so.

Oh, Draco was lurking around before Christmas. Maybe his mission is to kill Dumbledore, then?

Yes, I'm thinking that, too!

I thought that after the 2nd chapter, and I'm still pretty sure.
But I guess the necklace was something else altogether; it doesn't seem like JKR's style to make it that easy...

So, the mead was for Dumbledore. Who gave it to Slughorn? Or did he buy it himself? Did he decide to give it to DD, or did someone tell him to?

Ok, now I think that either Slughorn is the HBP, or the HBP is somehow related to Lily.

(Well, maybe. Still haven't given up my Dumbledore theory completely.)

I'm pretty hooked on the Dumbledore theory right now. . .It's a good one, and it hasn't been hinted at in the book too much. . .Although, perhaps the potions book is too new?

WON-WON! Ohmygod.

And there we go with that tantalizing little bit about how Harry's still got the Felix Felicis potion. Definitely being saved for the climax. Got to be.

You're right! I missed that completely, in all the excitement about Malfoy.

Hmm, is Malfoy a distraction? Subterfuge, it's all about the subterfuge. Harry's so focused on Malfoy, he's missing the real villain somewhere.
